Kalissa Williams threw a gem on Tuesday for the Roanoke Rapids Lady Yellow Jackets softball team, allowing zero runs and besting Nash Central by a score of 11-0.

te. Hammack drove in runs on a triple in the first, a single in the fourth, and a single in the fifth.

The Lady Yellow Jackets got things moving in the first inning, when Hammack tripled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run. Roanoke Rapids notched four runs in the fourth inning. Hammack, Williams, and Sue Odom each drove in runs during the inning.

Williams took the win for Roanoke Rapids. The bulldog lasted five innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out seven and walking one.

Roanoke Rapids totaled 16 hits. Williams, Hammack, Alana Mitchell, Lauren Garner, and Logan Storey each had multiple hits for the Lady Jackets. Hammack and Williams all had three hits to lead Roanoke Rapids.

The Lady Jackets host the Franklinton Red Rams tonight Wednesday March 30th at Roanoke Rapids field at 6PM.
