Ashlyn Cooke was brilliant in the pitcher's circle on Monday, as Cooke threw a no-hitter to lead Halifax Academy Lady Vikings past Harrells Christian Academy 13-0.

Halifax Academy secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Berkley Garner, Alexus Roundtree, Ella Howell, and Ashton Knight, a walk by Miranda Braswell, a triple by Cooke, a fielder's choice by Hayden Barlow, and an error on a ball put in play by Garner.

In the first inning, Halifax Academy got their offense started. Cooke drove in one when Cooke singled. Halifax Academy Varsity Vikings scored eight runs in the fourth inning. The rally was led by singles by Garner, Roundtree, Howell, and Knight, a walk by Braswell, a triple by Cooke, a fielder's choice by Barlow, and an error on a ball put in play by Garner.

Cooke took the win for the Vikings. The pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out ten.

Halifax Academy racked up nine hits on the day. Roundtree, Cooke, and Hayden Hilton all had multiple hits for Halifax Academy. Hilton, Cooke, and Roundtree each collected two hits to lead Halifax Academy.

Hilton led Halifax Academy with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.

Halifax Academy didn't commit a single error in the field. Hilton had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.
