Six runs in the first inning led Halifax Academy Varsity Vikings past Pungo Christian Academy 11-1 on Tuesday.

Halifax Academy Varsity Ladt Vikings big bats were led by Berkley Garner, Ashton Knight, Payton Odom, Hayden Hilton, and Hayden Barlow, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

In the first inning, Pungo Christian Academy got their offense started when Ella Kate Hanna grounded out, scoring one run.

Ashlyn Cooke was the winning pitcher for Halifax Academy Varsity Vikings. The hurler surrendered one run on two hits over five innings, striking out eight. Lily Keech took the loss for Pungo Christian Academy. The pitcher went one-third of an inning, allowing five runs on three hits and striking out one.

Halifax Academy Varsity Vikings smacked one home run on the day. Garner went yard in the first inning. Maddie Bethel went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Halifax Academy Varsity Vikings in hits. Halifax Academy Varsity Vikings was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Garner had the most chances in the field with eight.
