Halifax Academy’s First Pitch Tournament scheduled for March 1-2 was rescheduled for Saturday March 23rd due to bad weather.

Teams included Halifax Academy, Southampton Academy (Courtland, Va), Brunswick Academy (Lawrenceville, Va.), and Cape Fear Christian (Erwin, NC). Roanoke Rapids High was unable to attend with the rescheduling this year.

The results are as follows

9:30 Southampton Academy defeated Halifax Academy 3-1,

11:00 Brunswick Academy defeated Cape Fear Christian 14-2,

12:30 Halifax Academy defeated Cape Fear Christian 10-0,

2:00 Southampton defeated Brunswick 7-6,

3:30 Cape Fear Christian defeated Southampton 6-1,

5:00 Brunswick defeated Halifax Academy 1-0
