The Halifax Academy Lady Vikings volleyball team traveled to Capron, Va to play Southampton Academy on Thursday, Aug. 22nd for their second match of the season.

The Lady Vikings fell in first two sets 25-17 (both), but came back strong and defeated Southampton 25-17 in the next two sets sending them to the fifth set where Halifax were defeated 15-7.

The Halifax team is young and inexperienced with only two returning varsity players, but continues to grow and improve under their new coach Francis Bishop.

The Varsity Lady Vikings has a 1-1 record now.
