The Roanoke Rapids Police Department continues to track down leads in the case of a Henrico woman who was reported missing last week.

“We have done just about everything we know to do,” said Lieutenant Charles Vaught of the search for 64-year-old Vicki Brewer Wright. “We have given out a Silver Alert, entered her into NCIC as a missing person. We are tracking down leads as they come in. We have requested phone records to see if she has been in contact with anyone.”

While a Silver Alert was issued in Northampton County on September 17, another was issued the following day in Roanoke Rapids because that's where she was last seen, Vaught said.

It is known she was seen leaving Belk at approximately 1:38 p.m. on September 10 and a neighbor saw her the day before at Walgreen's. “She indicated she was tired and had been on the phone most of the night before.”

There is no explanation why she was reported missing a week later, Vaught said.”On the eighteenth her daughter came here. The last time she talked to her mother was on the fourth.”

The Silver Alert issued last week says Wright is believed to suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for Wright, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

She was possibly wearing a yellow shirt, blue jeans and a yellow bow in her hair and was believed to be driving a 2002, silver Taurus with North Carolina plates bearing the registration number DAA-4219.

Anyone with information should call Investigator Bobby Martin of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department at 252-533-2810 or Halifax County Central Communications at 252-583-1991.
