A routine training mission Wednesday evening led pilots with the Halifax Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol to discover the vehicle of a woman who had been the subject of a Silver Alert last week.
The state Highway Patrol said this evening it is unable to determine exactly why a woman reported missing last week crashed her vehicle in the Gaston area of Northampton County.
A missing Henrico woman was found deceased in her vehicle this evening, Roanoke Police Chief Chuck Hasty said.
