Weldon probes Blue Flame heist

Weldon police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred at Blue Flame on West Second Street shortly before 5:15 this evening.

Deputy Chief James Avens said the man pictured above entered the store and brandished a handgun. He demanded money from the clerk and left with an undisclosed sum.

He headed east on foot and possibly got into a green 2000 model Honda Accord.
