Tripp said there is a person of interest in the case whom investigators are in contact with, but declined to immediately elaborate further.
He said in a statement the sheriff's office received the call around 7:45 p.m. and deputies responded to the area of Fun Drive, which is located off Highway 48.
“Deputies continue to investigate, gather evidence and obtain statements from witnesses,” he said in the statement.
