A Wallace truck driver was cited for a safe movement violation in a Monday crash which caused 2,500 gallons of hog waste to spill onto the roadway in Northampton County.

Trooper T.C. Wood of the state Highway Patrol said Donnie Sholar made a turn too fast, causing the load to the shift and the tanker to become detached from the rig’s fifth wheel.
The tanker overturned.
Wood said there were no charges filed directly related to the spill.
The trooper said the truck was headed to a farm but it was not clear whether the driver was picking up or dropping off hog waste.
