The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chuck Hasty:

Saturday November 19, 2016

• Vanessa Marie Bowser, 19, of Roanoke Rapids, was cited for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license revoked. Bowser was released until her December 16 court date.

Background


At approximately 10 a.m., Officer R. Cross stopped Bowser for a traffic violation on West 5th near Walnut streets.
Cross found Bowser’s license was revoked and she was in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia.

• Floyd Raynoldo Warren, 34, of Scotland Neck, was arrested and charged with larceny and possession of stolen goods.
Warren received a $500 bond and a December 9 court date.


Background

At approximately 1:30 p.m., loss prevention at Walmart reported to Master Officer G. Morris Warren took items.

Sunday November 20, 2016

• Tiquanna La-Dae Williams, 25, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with intoxicated/disruptive, resisting/delaying/obstructing an officer and littering.
Williams received a $1,000 bond and January 20 court date.

Background

At approximately 1:45 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Monroe Street for a disturbance call.
They found a gathering at a residence and Williams wanted everyone to leave. During the time officers were there Williams was cursing and causing a disturbance.
She was calmed down by family members at one point, but then threw bottles into the roadway and began to curse again.
Officer J. Mason took Williams into custody.
Lieutenant J. Baggett and Master Officer A. Salmon assisted.

• Craig Dennis Byrum, 48, of Conway, was arrested and charged with simple affray.
He received a $500 bond and January 13 court date.
• Gregory Alexander Carle, 20, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with simple affray.
He received a $500 bond and January 13 court date.
• Zania Gabrielle Ratliff, 17, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
She received a $500 bond and January 13 court date.

Background


At approximately 2 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance call in the 1100 block of Oakland Street.
When officers arrived they observed Byrum and Carle fighting in the street and others around yelling and screaming at each other.
Officers took Byrum and Carle into custody without trouble.
Ratliff was taken into custody for continuing to yell and scream at others while the officers were trying to get people to leave the area.
Lieutenant C. Burnette and officers J. Spragins and Cross made the arrest.


Monday November 21, 2016

• Bryan Neil Ashburn, 19, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested at approximately 5:15 a.m. by Salmon on outstanding warrants for breaking/entering.
He received a $1,000 bond and December 9 court date.

Background


The charges stem from a matter investigated by Baggett on October 26 when the victim reported Ashburn had entered their residence without permission.
Baggett and Mason assisted with the arrest.

Tuesday November 22, 2016

• Raynard Antwain Bradley, 32, of Aulander, was arrested at approximately 11 a.m. by Investigator G. Williams on outstanding warrants for failing to work after being paid.
He received a $1,000 bond and December 13 court date.
The charges stem from a matter in Northampton County.

Thursday November 24, 2016

• Renell Danell Justice, 26, of Raleigh, was arrested and charged with driving while impaired and expired registration.
Justice was released to a responsible party and has a January 9 court date.

Background


At approximately 2:30 a.m., Officer N. Velazquez responded to the area of east 5th Street and Woodland Road about a vehicle off the street needing assistance.
Velazquez determined Justice was impaired.
Morris and Officer P. Smith assisted.

• Joshua Brandon Dickens, 25, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with larceny and possession of stolen goods.
He received a $500 bond and December 16 court date.


Background


At approximately 7 p.m., Walmart loss prevention reported Dickens allegedly took items past the cash registers.
Spragins arrested and charged Dickens with the assistance of Officer J. Hardy.

• Tamera Mona Anderson, 19, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested by Morris on outstanding warrants for attempted murder, conspiracy, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Anderson received a $21,000 bond and December 5 court date.
The charges stem from a matter investigated by Detective R. Hale with the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
Burnette and Sergeant M. Peck assisted with the arrest.

Friday November 25, 2016

• Joseph Suiter, 47, of Margaretsville was arrested and charged with larceny and possession of stolen goods. Suiter was given a $1,000 bond and a December 9, 2016 court date.

Background


At approximately 4:45 p.m., Walmart loss prevention reported Suiter allegedly took items.
Salmon arrested and charged Suiter with assistance from Sergeant M. Moseley

Saturday November 26, 2016

• Joshua Wayne Lewis McLaughlin, 25, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested by Mason around 9:45 a.m. on outstanding warrants for kidnapping and assault on a handicapped person.
McLaughlin received a $15,000 bond and January 20 court date.

Background


The charges stem from an investigation by Sergeant T. Tyler on August 31 when the victim reported they were assaulted while visiting an acquaintance’s house.
The victim was not allowed to leave after being assaulted by the suspect.
Tyler identified McLaughlin as the suspect and obtained warrants for the crimes.

• Terry Louis Kearney, 47, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested by Officer J. Fortier around 1 p.m. on outstanding warrants for hit/run with serious injury, aggressive driving, fail to report accident, driving while license revoked and driving left of center.
He received a $7,500 bond and January 19 court date.
The charges stem from an investigation by Trooper S. Corn of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol on November 25.

Sunday November 27, 2016

• Detron Robinson, 36, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with driving while impaired.
Robinson was released to a responsible person until his court date on January 9, 2017.


Background


At approximately 1 a.m., Ball responded to the area of Highway 48 and Kapstone about a vehicle at the light.
Ball found Robinson behind the wheel and impaired.
Lieutenant P. Parks assisted.

• Trevon Quantavius Fields, 19, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
He received a $500 bond and December 30 court date.

Background


At approximately 11:30 p.m., Ball responded to the 300 block of Madison Street about a disturbance, Fields was taken into custody after refusing to stop cursing and go inside the residence.
