He was born in Brunswick County, Virginia, the son of the late Lonnie E. Moseley and Minnie Crowder Moseley. Robert called Roanoke Rapids home for over 60 years where he mastered his trade as a builder and carpenter.
Robert was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Wayne Moseley; siblings, Lillian Carter, Thomas Moseley, Roy Lee “Pete” Moseley, Shelby Jean Salmon, Lonnie E. “Bud” Moseley, Jr, and Helen Salmon.
He is survived by his children, Cynthia Shelby, of Pittsboro, NC, James Moseley, Gary Moseley, and Timothy Moseley, all of Roanoke Rapids; siblings, Mary Strickland, of Roanoke Rapids, Juanita (Nita) Harrell, of Jarrett, VA, Barbara Spruill, of Gaston, NC; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and seven other children who referred to him affectionately as Granddeddy, and Great Granddeddy; many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Cedarwood Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Whitby officiating.
