Robert was born in Halifax County, NC, the son of the late Forrest E. Rook and Augusta Elmore Rook.
He graduated from Halifax Community College and formerly taught drivers’ education at Roanoke Rapids High School.
Mr. Rook is survived by: five cousins, Mel Cline and Susan Taylor of Morganton, NC; Melinda Solomon of San Ramon, CA; Richard Elmore of Cool, CA and Sandra Rook of Roanoke Rapids, NC; special friends and caregivers.
Graveside services will be held in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC, on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Charles Morrison officiating.
