The charges against Sagret Jerrell Kimble, 34, stem from a report on May 17 the woman was assaulted and her cellphone was taken.
Enfield Police Department Detective Willie Murphy Jr. said Kimble arranged the meeting with the woman through a website which has a section dedicated to an escort service. Intent and money was reportedly discussed prior to her arrival.
During the encounter an argument ensued over undisclosed reasons and the man and woman reportedly fought. The woman sustained scratches.
Murphy charged Kimble with solicitation of prostitution, assault on a female and misdemeanor larceny.
He received a $2,500 bond and June 14 court date.
Additional warrants will be taken out on the woman for assault and prostitution, Murphy said.
