Police seek clues in gaming machine break-in

Roanoke Rapids police are trying to identify a man believed to responsible for the break-in of a gaming machine and removing money from it.

Investigator Jonathan Benthall said the crime was reported on January 24 and the break-in is believed to have occurred on January 13 at Gold Mine located in Becker Village Mall.

Benthall said the business was open at the time the machine was broken into and there appear to be no signs of forced entry.

The suspect is described as a black male with full beard and a scorpion tattoo on his left hand.  Anyone who recognizes the person is encouraged to contact the police department at 252-533-2810; Benthall at 252-533-2898 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
