She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jim Shuart; four sons, Mark, Kent, Todd and Glen Shuart; three sisters, Maria Calomeris, Olga Sens and Georgia Raspa; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018 evening at Askew Funeral Service in Roanoke Rapids.
Funeral service and interment will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Lakeside Lutheran Church in Littleton with Father Paul Christy officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Dogwood for the visually impaired, 7050 Camp Dogwood Drive, Sherrills Ford, NC 28673.
