Two charged, one sought in vehicle, firearm larceny

Two men were charged and warrants were obtained on another for their alleged involvement in a vehicle larceny.

Chief Deputy Scott Hall of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Corporal Andy Cash responded Saturday to speak with the victim about the larceny of the vehicle .in the Roanoke Rapids area. The corporal learned a firearm was stolen as well.

Cash later located and stopped the vehicle in the area of Highway 158 near Zoo Road.

Dillon Brigman and Jacob Davis were in the vehicle.

While searching for the stolen firearm Cash located syringes under the seat and in Brigman’s pocket.                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

Cash arrested and charged Brigman with felony larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, larceny of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He arrested and charged Davis, an occupant of the vehicle, with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Brigman and Davis were placed in the Halifax County Jail under $10,000 secured bonds and have June 6 court dates pending.

 

Warrants were also obtained on Katoe Harris Jr., 19, of Roanoke Rapids, for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and possession of a stolen firearm.
