Rhoades named VP of HCC advancement

Dr. Dianne Rhoades has been named the vice president of institutional advancement at Halifax Community College and executive director of the HCC Foundation Inc.


Rhoades had served in an interim role since March 5, 2012, before being named vice president on July 18.

Prior to her service at HCC, Rhoades served as the director of alumni affairs and the coordinator of the United Negro College Fund at Saint Paul’s College in Lawrenceville. She has also been the vice president for administration and director of alumni affairs at Saint Paul’s College.

In addition, Rhoades has held posts as an adjunct instructor at Kaplan University, Virginia University of Lynchburg, Saint Paul’s College and HCC as well as director of extending and continuing studies at Saint Paul’s College.

 

Rhoades earned a Ph.D. in Leadership for Higher Education from Capella University, a Master of Business Administration from Averett University and a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Saint Paul’s College.
