Tornado warnings possible; post offices closed Friday

As noted in the graphic, the National Weather Service says tornado warnings are possible as the outer bands of Hurricane Florence move into and cross Central North Carolina.

Updated closings

Post offices in cities and towns with the 278 ZIP Code prefix will be closed Friday.

This is a precautionary measure as mail comes from Raleigh and elsewhere which could affect delivery.

The Saturday USPS schedule has not been determined.
