Man charged in five B&Es

Roanoke Rapids Police have arrested a man allegedly responsible for a series of breaking and entering cases along East Littleton Road and Vine Street.

Rashon Woodley, 21, of 120 Poplar Street, was charged with five counts of breaking and entering, five counts of larceny after breaking and entering, five counts of possession of stolen goods and one count of felony conspiracy.

Roanoke Rapids police said the crimes involved break-ins of homes on East Road Littleton and Vine Street in which thousands of dollars worth of flat screen televisions, jewelry, cell phones, camcorders and cash were stolen.

The first crime was committed on May 18 and the last one was reported on July 18.

Police credited the work of Detective Jeff Baggett in making the arrest.

 

 

 

Woodley was jailed on $40,000 bond and has a September 18 court date.
