Sergeant Greg Richardson of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office investigated the theft of the converter stolen from Floyd's Body Shop and his investigation led to Thomas Gregory being charged with possession of stolen goods, according to a press release by Major Scott Hall.
Deputy Matt Brown received further information, learning the converter was allegedly sold to Double R Converters in Roanoke Rapids.
Brown charged Gregory with obtaining property by false pretense the following day.
Gregory received a $1,000 secured bond and has a court date in September.
