Trooper J.D. Warren said there were only a couple of crashes that involved injuries, those being minor.
He did say a state Department of Transportation truck was sideswiped on Interstate 95 when a tractor-trailer hit a pickup, which was pushed into the state vehicle. A highway patrol cruiser was also hit when a tractor-trailer sideswiped it on the interstate.
Warren said at this point main roads are in fairly good shape. “The rain came in and they were able to clear them. They're starting to clear secondary roads.”
He said, however, motorists are advised to stay at home unless absolutely necessary. “There are still a lot of roads they've got to get clear and the way they're talking it could get worse. They're talking about one to five inches today.”
