Sheriff's office investigating Dollar General robbery

The Halifax County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating an armed robbery at the Dollar General Store on Bolling Road.

The robbery occurred around 2:15 p.m. when a person described as a black male entered the store.

Major Scott Hall said the man was wearing khaki shorts and a white T-shirt. He wore a red bandanna over his face.

He left the store with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen on foot on Bolling Road in the area of Roanoke Rapids Savings Bank.
