Weldon police are investigating another vehicle theft that could be related to the theft of a service truck stolen from Rivertown Tire Wednesday morning.

A dark blue Buick LeSabre was stolen from the parking lot of Church of Deliverance after its owner, a deacon, went in around 6 a.m. today for a daily prayer group meeting, Chief Mark Macon said.

The victim had his keys in the vehicle but the suspect found them and took off with the car.

Macon reminds people to lock up their vehicles and take their keys with them.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the police department at 252-536-1801 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-444.
