Patrols in the South Weldon area on Tuesday and Wednesday have netted several arrests, according to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.

Captain Anzell Harris said in a news release that on Tuesday shortly after 6:30 p.m. Agent D.R. Radford and Agent D.C. Dickens met Sherri Bundy.

During the encounter with Bundy, Radford seized a glass crack pipe and cited her for possession of drug paraphernalia. She has a September 3 court date.

On Wednesday at approximately 4:15 p.m., Dickens stopped a vehicle on Ransome Circle near Johnson Street for a motor vehicle violation. Dickens identified the driver of the vehicle to be Randolph Hardy, 50, of Weldon.

During a short conversation with Hardy, Dickens noticed what appeared to be crack cocaine on the passenger floorboard.

The passenger was identified to be Leon Banks, 51, also of Weldon.

Halifax County Central Communications advised that Hardy was entered as a wanted person by Northampton County for failure to pay child support.

Hardy and Banks were both arrested.

Dickens cited Hardy for driving while license revoked. He has a September 22 court date.

Hardy was then turned over to the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office.

Dickens transported Leon Banks to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and charged with felony possession of cocaine.

Banks was given a $1,000 secured bond with a September 3 court date.

Corporal M. Brown and his dog Mallie assisted with this traffic stop.
