Dear Citizens of Halifax County:

When I retired as Sheriff last year, I endorsed Wes Tripp to the County Commissioners to fill my position as Sheriff.  At that time, I believed he would be the most qualified person to serve as Sheriff because of his years of experience, integrity, and work ethic.  Since his appointment, Sheriff Tripp has proven that my faith in him was well placed.

Sheriff Tripp has extensive knowledge and experience of the different aspects in the Sheriff’s Office thanks to working in the jail, on patrol, in investigations, in court, and in the administration.  For seven years, Wes was my Chief Deputy and right hand man.  As Chief Deputy, he supervised the entire Sheriff’s Office and Jail, which includes about 90 employees.  He demonstrated the ability to effectively and considerately work with the public and employees on sensitive issues.  He has continued to demonstrate his ability during the last year as he served as Sheriff.

I hope that you will join me at the polls on November 4th to support Sheriff Wes Tripp.  He is the most experienced, most qualified candidate for the job—as he has demonstrated for the last year.  He will continue to work to protect and serve the citizens of Halifax County, just like he has done for the last 30 years.

Sincerely,

Jeff P. Frazier

Retired Sheriff of Halifax County
