On November 4th, Halifax County will vote to elect a new Sheriff.
For 30 years starting in 1969, I served as a Deputy Sheriff in Halifax County for four Sheriffs.
I started working with Wes Tripp when he started with the Halifax County Jail in 1984 when he was 19 years old.
I was his lieutenant while he was on the road as a patrol deputy.
As his supervisor I saw how hard Wes worked to serve the citizens of Halifax County.
He has continued to work for his fellow citizens for 30 years.
While we worked together, he worked in positions in all parts of the Sheriff’s Office, from the jail to investigations and administration. As his many years at the Sheriff’s Office have demonstrated, Wes Tripp will do his best to serve and protect Halifax County. His experience and integrity make him the ideal candidate for the office that he has held since Sheriff Frazier’s retirement.
Remember to vote on November 4th. I will be voting for Wes Tripp.
Sincerely,
Roosevelt Greene
Retired Lieutenant
