I would like to thank you for your support in the general election and throughout this long, arduous campaign season.

I know all of us will be happy to be rid of the endless negative ads on TV.

As I have said before, working together works. Following the recent spate of deplorable violence in several communities, we saw how local, state, federal agencies and communities working together can solve crimes. Through sharing of information and cooperation, we can work to prevent crimes rather than simply responding to them.

I look forward to continuing to work with all of the citizens of Halifax County regardless of who you voted for or supported. Since taking office last August, I have worked hard to build strong relationships with communities across the county. Engaging the community is vital to law enforcement and public safety. I know that we will be able to improve those ties for the benefit of the citizens of Halifax County.

Thank you for allowing me to continue to serve you as the sheriff of Halifax County.

I am humbled by the support that I have received and the positive feedback for the efforts we have made throughout my time as sheriff.

For the next four years, I can assure you that I, and my office, will continue to work to protect and serve all citizens of Halifax County.

Since becoming sheriff, I have aimed to be accessible to the public and will continue to be available in my office or on my cellphone anytime.
