Littleton police have a person of interest in an armed robbery that occurred at the Minit Check store around 10:30 this morning.

Chief Winifred Bowen said the alleged suspect entered the store on West South Main Street and went behind the counter. The suspect displayed what was described as a long gun and demanded money from the clerk.

The clerk complied and left the store with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect left on foot in a southeastern direction, sneaking through buildings.

Police, with the assistance of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office, continue to investigate.
