AMVETS posts 101 and 320 honored fallen veterans today at Cedarwood Cemetery with its annual Memorial Day Ceremony.
Roanoke Rapids City Manager Joseph Scherer was the keynote speaker.
The AMVETS Post 101 and 320 Memorial Day Service will be held Monday in Cedarwood Cemetery at 10 a.m.
Rain held off this morning as AMVETS posts 101 and 320 held their annual Memorial Day service in Cedarwood Cemetery.
On May 30 two new memorials will be unveiled in Veterans Park on Roanoke Avenue.
When fallen veterans are honored Monday at Cedarwood Cemetery, the grounds will be adorned in red, white and blue from the behind-the-scenes efforts of Boy Scout Troop 146.
