Classes at Halifax Community College were dismissed for the day but will resume for the evening session after a bomb threat was placed to the school this morning.

The combined teams of Willis Hare Elementary and Conway Middle Schools — the Roboticians — won the overall champion award for the Fourth Annual Roanoke River Valley Education Consortium Ultineers Robotics Tournament in the Griffin Centre at Halifax Community College Saturday.

The Halifax Community College Child Care Center has been selected as a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Outdoor Learning Environment site.

A $2 million Economic Development Administration grant will help Halifax Community College build an advanced manufacturing and corporate training center.

HCC returns to its roots with Patriot mascot

Halifax Community College is returning to its roots as the Patriots and in the spring will be seeking input of the faculty, staff, students and the community to give its mascot a more modern look.

Halifax County commissioners today endorsed a request from Halifax Community College on how the school intends to use its $6.519 million Connect NC Bond award.

College SBC sets seminars for business owners

Throughout the month of August, the Halifax Community College Small Business Center will host several seminars to help small business owners.
