The city's attorney is discussing terms and conditions of a new lease on the Roanoke Rapids Theatre with representatives of HSV Entertainment.
The Roanoke Rapids Theatre proposal city council balked on Tuesday night was one of two proffered by partners making up JP Amusements, the second one being the document the three members turned down.
A motion that would offer a lease agreement to run the Roanoke Rapids Theatre to local investors failed by a 3-2 motion this evening.
