SBI releases names of Littleton victims

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation released the names of three people found deceased in a house in Littleton Saturday.

Michael Rakim Belfield was sentenced today to 12 years in federal prison for possession of a firearm by felon and using a weapon in furtherance of a drug-trafficking crime.

With the annual Ella Baker Day set Friday, Governor Roy Cooper issued a proclamation remembering the civil rights leader.

The man who allegedly robbed PNC Bank in December was remanded to the custody of United States Marshals today after breaking terms of his previous federal release.

Vehicle stolen in lake home invasion recovered

The vehicle stolen from John and Nancy Alford following a deadly home invasion last week has been found.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigation are asking for the public’s help in locating  a four-door 2011 silver Mercedes C-300 which belonged to John and Nancy Alford.

Documents tie Whitmore to disbarred attorney
