Pierce to present at social studies conference

Rodney D. Pierce, a third-year sixth grade Social Studies teacher at William R. Davie Middle STEM Academy, will present at the 2018 North Carolina Council for Social Studies Conference next month in Greensboro.

A William R. Davie Middle School teacher will be among 20 fellows from across the state to attend a summit designed to expand their curriculum on the American South.

A love of history has helped Rodney Pierce discover some of the area’s most renowned black leaders.
