Patrena B. Elliott, who on Friday was named the next president of Halifax Community College by the board of trustees, said she is looking forward to her new job.
The Halifax Community College Board of Trustees this evening unanimously chose Severn native Patrena B. Elliott to serve as the institution’s next president beginning in January.
The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is investigating the larceny of a go-kart earlier this month.
The lighting of the Lights of Love Tree at ECU North Hospital will be held December 1 at 6 p.m. The event will begin with celebratory remarks and a choral performance.
