The Roanoke Valley Afterschool Collaborative is hosting its first Best of the Valley contest for out-of-school time programs in Halifax, Northampton and Warren counties.
RVAC’s goal is to highlight organizations that work with school aged students outside of normal school time. This can range from after-school tutoring to summer camps. The programs’ focus can be sports, academic, character development or arts related and newspapers. “Our hope is to recognize these wonderful programs and the hard-working individuals that help make them happen.”

Nominations will be accepted beginning Monday through May 9.
The ballot can be found at this link or by scanning the QR code in the gallery or an ad that will be posted on rrspin by the end of the day.
Nominated programs will be invited to an awards banquet on June 5.
