Over the past several months the Halifax Regional Drug and Gang Task Force received several complaints about drug activity and began gathering intel to combat what Major Anzell Harris described as a neighborhood nuisance on East Alsop Street in Enfield.
The investigation by task force agents led to a search warrant being granted and executed at approximately 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
Task force agents utilized the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office’s Special Response Team, Criminal Investigation and Patrol Divisions to secure and search the property.
During the execution of the warrant the team encountered eleven individuals inside, some of which were found to be in possession of handguns.
All eleven individuals were safely detained. As a result of the search, agents located quantities of marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and three handguns.
Agents arrested all eleven people that were found inside the home. One of the men arrested in the home was Eric Devon Hinton Jr. who was charged in a May 2023 shooting death in the Hollister area.
Hinton had been placed on electronic monitoring awaiting trial on the charge.

Hinton — trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, felony possess cocaine, felony maintain dwelling, and possess drug paraphernalia.
He was jailed without the opportunity for bReceived no bond, electronic monitoring revoked and has a $100,000 bond on the first-degree murder charge. He is scheduled to appear in superior court on the first-degree murder count in January.
Keamonta Jones — trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, felony possess cocaine, felony maintain dwelling, and possession drug paraphernalia. He remains in the Halifax County Detention Center without the opportunity for bond and has an April 22 district court date.
Jockeyun Jeffery — trafficking cocaine, possession with the intent to sell/deliver cocaine, felony possess cocaine, felony maintain dwelling, and possession drug paraphernalia. He remains in the detention center on a $21,500 secured bond — $20,000 for the drug charge and $1,500 for disorderly conduct and an April 22 district court date.
Carl Williams Jr. — trafficking cocaine, possession with the intent to sell/deliver cocaine, felony possess cocaine, felony maintain dwelling, and possession drug paraphernalia. No court date was available.
Hilda Silver — trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, felony possess cocaine, felony maintain dwelling, and possession drug paraphernalia. No court date was available.
Keyona Johnson — trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, felony possess cocaine, felony maintain dwelling, and possession drug paraphernalia. No court date was available.
Joseph Davis — trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, felony possess cocaine, felony maintain dwelling, and possession drug paraphernalia. He remains in the detention center with a $16,500 secured bond and April 22 district court date.
Mar’kayvion Williams — trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, felony possess cocaine, felony maintain dwelling, and possession drug paraphernalia. No court date was available.
Rakeem Davis — trafficking cocaine, possession with the intent to sell/deliver cocaine, felony possess cocaine, felony maintain dwelling, and possession drug paraphernalia. He remains in the detention center on a $18,500 secured bond and has an April 22 district court date.
Marilyn Hunter — trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, felony possess cocaine, felony maintain dwelling, and possession drug paraphernalia. No court date was available.
Emanuel Lyons — trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, felony possess cocaine, felony maintain dwelling, possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana, felony possess marijuana, possession drug paraphernalia, and possession marijuana drug paraphernalia.
