Two men face marijuana charges after they were stopped Monday for a damaged license plate, according to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
Lieutenant George Evans said deputies R.D. Bozard and W.C. Murphy stopped the vehicle on Dennis Street in Enfield.
A vehicle search yielded 69.8 grams of marijuana.

Corey Montrel Alston, 22, the driver, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was jailed on $15,000 bond and has a March 9 court date.

Ontarris Trevon Armstrong, 22, the passenger, was charged with felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed on $10,000 bond and has the same court date.
Both men are from the Enfield area.
