A Littleton area man faces cocaine trafficking charges following a visit by his probation officer Saturday.
Placed on probation in March, Eddie Junior Stansbury had to submit to warrantless searches.
On Saturday, Probation Officer Todd Johnston and Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Deputy G. Page went to Stansbury’s house for a search.
Lieutenant S. Hall of the sheriff’s office said Page and Johnston located illegal drugs in the Faulcon Road residence.
Lieutenant T. Harris applied for the search warrant which led to charges of trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule IV, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II and maintaining a dwelling to store narcotics.
The search yielded 47 grams of a mixture of crack and powdered cocaine and 42 grams of marijuana.
Stansbury was jailed on $100,000 bond and has a May 2 court date.
“This arrest is a perfect example of good team work and agencies working well together,” Hall said in the news release.
