Gaston Fire-Rescue-EMS and Garysburg Fire Department were dispatched shortly before 2 this morning to a residential fire alarm on James Jones Road in Pleasant Hill. 

Gaston said in a statement Upon the double wide home was found engulfed. No occupants were home at the time of the fire. 

Approximately a third of the home’s roof was found collapsed. 

Firefighters entered the structure and contained the fire within 10 minutes of arrival. 

Firefighters remained on scene for more than three hours conducting fire suppression and overhaul operations. 

More than 20 firefighters were on the scene. 

The home sustained heavy fire and smoke damage throughout. 

A family of six were displaced by the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
