The city today released its third amendment to its state of emergency declaration related to the novel coronavirus.

The amendment lifts the curfew that was imposed beginning Friday at 6 a.m.

In his memo regarding the lifting of the curfew, City Manager Joseph Scherer said, “We continue to encourage all our residents to follow the CDC guidelines on social distancing practices, especially as the number of positive cases in Halifax County continues to increase.
