A Raleigh man was charged Friday with trespassing and damaging a barbed-wire fence in the Hollister area.

Major Anzell Harris of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said 44-year-old Brandon Lee Freeman was also found in possession of methamphetamine and Suboxone strips.

The warrant said that Freeman allegedly entered property located in the 100 block of Highway 43 and damaged the fence. The damage to the fence was less than $200, according to the warrant.

Freeman was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, first-degree trespassing, and injury to personal property.

He has an October 21 district court date. He is no longer listed in Halifax County Detention Center records.
