Ramon Peterson, 29, of Weldon, was charged with felony possession of cocaine —  7 grams of crack — and possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine.

Captain Harris said ownership of the remaining 32 grams of cocaine has not been established. Some of the cocaine was thrown during the raid.

Wilson Green, 25, of Weldon, was charged with possession of a handgun by a felon and served two warrants based on an investigation by Detective R.B. Biggerstaff. The detective had obtained warrants on Green for receiving stolen goods and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury as well as possession of a firearm by a felon.

In 2019 Green was one of two people charged in the shooting of a juvenile in Weldon.

Green has several pending court dates in Halifax County and received a $300,000 bond and May 27 court date.

Peterson received a $10,000 bond and the same court date as Green.

During the search of the property there was evidence of meth being kept and used at this property. Items which were possibly stolen property were collected and are being followed up by Phillips.

Phillips arrested Amber Ruble, 28, of Roanoke Rapids, for two outstanding probation orders for arrests. She received a $4,000 bond with an April 26 court date.
