Brothers were arrested Friday in an October case where a warehouse was broken into and an assortment of tools was stolen.

Weldon police Chief Chris Davis said in a statement on October 14 shortly before 11 a.m. Officer Q.L. Godley responded to Sheppard Street on a call in which a warehouse was broken into and tools were taken. An air compressor was also taken.

Godley spoke with the owner and gathered information. After several follow-ups the case was turned over to Sergeant T.L. Mason for further investigation.

The continued investigation led to the arrests of the following:

Devon Tyler Lee, 16, of Weldon, for breaking and entering, felony larceny, and possession of stolen goods

Hunter Elias Riggins, 18, of Weldon, for  breaking and entering, felony larceny and possession of stolen goods

James Anthony Lee Jr., 20, of Weldon, for misdemeanor larceny and possession of stolen goods

Each person was taken before a Halifax County magistrate where Devon Lee received a $1,500 secured bond, Riggins a $1,500 secured bond, and James Lee Jr. a $500 unsecured bond.

The three have December 5 court dates.

Mason was assisted during their arrests by Godley and Officer N. Coles.
