A Weldon man is wanted by the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office on several drug counts following the execution of a search warrant today.

Captain A.M. Harris said 52-year-old Mark Davis Hedspeth tends to frequent the Grant Park area of Weldon where the warrant was served around 10 this morning.

The sheriff’s office and Weldon Police Department served the warrant at a residence on Hertford Street following an investigation by Agent H.G. Phillips. The investigation was based on complaints of possible meth sales at the residence.

Agents seized several controlled dosage units of alprazolam, amphetamine and clonazepam.  Methamphetamine, marijuana, a digital scale and clear plastic baggies were also seized. 

Hedspeth faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of schedule IV controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of schedule II controlled substance.
