Chief Deputy Scott Hall of the sheriff’s office said two vehicles were stolen and sold for scrap.

Both vehicles were taken from abandoned residences.

The sheriff’s office received the reports between July 21 and August 24. One vehicle was taken from the Faucette Store Road area of Littleton and the other off Clover Lane in the Halifax area.

The investigation linked Mayle to the crimes.

He received a $10,000 bond and October 13 court date.
