Hope for Hardy’s Twilight Festival was held this evening in the 900 and 1000 blocks of Roanoke Avenue as well as Centennial Park.

The festival hosted food trucks, vendors, and artisans while at the Halifax County Arts Council artist Riley Mills held an exhibition of his works.

Several avenue businesses had their windows dressed with art emphasizing organ donations and transplants, which is the mission of the non-profit Hope for Hardy.

The highlight of the festival in the 900 block of the avenue was the ping-pong drop, one of them a $1,000 winner.

On Tuesday Roanoke Rapids City Council declared today Hope for Hardy Day.
