Halifax County continues to see a plateau with a noted downward trend in positive COVID-19 cases, health department Director Bruce Robistow said this afternoon.

Data for today, he said, shows, “That we are sustaining our plateau with a slightly declining trend in positive cases. I’m happy it’s not going up.”

He added, however, “The plateau has not gone long enough to say we’ve turned the corner so we need to continue to focus on mitigating the spread.”

Robistow continues to encourage residents to practice what he calls the V3W’s — get vaccinated, wear a facial covering, wash hands frequently, and wait 6-feet apart.
