The town of Weldon will be recognizing Halloween on Saturday, October 30, instead of Sunday, October 31, according to police Chief Christopher Davis.

The time frame that will be allowed for trick-or-treaters will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The police department will also be participating in a trick-or-treat event on October 30 along with other businesses in the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of Washington Avenue.
