Roanoke Rapids police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred late Monday night at Klix near Dunham’s.

Chief Bobby Martin said officers were dispatched to the gaming business shortly before 11:45 p.m.

Officers learned two men entered the business with guns and took an undisclosed amount of money before exiting.

The police department was informed of a similar robbery taking place at a gaming business in Garysburg before the Roanoke Rapids heist.

Martin said there were no reports of shots being fired during the robbery in Roanoke Rapids and a report of one injury was noted. The injury occurred as the victim ran for self-protection.
